About Us

Palumbo’s Meat Market is a fifth-generation, family-owned butcher shop in West Middlesex, PA, proudly sourcing only the highest-quality local steers, hogs, and lambs. Our story began in 1927, when Keith’s great-grandfather opened a company store after immigrating from Italy. Since then, each generation has carried on the tradition.

Keith and Debra Palumbo opened the West Middlesex market in 1992, serving the local community and greater Pittsburgh region. After a devastating fire in 2011, the family rebuilt and expanded the market into a 6,000 sq/ft old-world-style shop, now featuring USDA-inspected facilities and humane-handling certification.

FAQs

Why is our motto “Everything from Tongue to Tail”?

We use the whole animal, from steaks and roasts to organ meats and house-made specialties. Ask our butchers about a cut you know or one you would like to try.

Their meat typically arrives in boxes on refrigerated trucks. We start with whole animals from local farms and process our beef, pork, and lamb at our own USDA-inspected facility. We cut the meat ourselves and make many of our sausages, smoked meats, and specialties in-house. Our butchers know what they’re selling and can help you choose the right cut.

Super friendly and attentive staff! The absolute best product anywhere around! It says something when even the owner is working behind the counter on a Saturday! Place is always clean and organized and I absolutely love the smell when I walk in here! Definitely not like most butcher shops I've been in!

We wish that there are many more AMAZING places like this. My first time. My husband's second time. And my father-in-law is a regular. So that's from great words/experiences passed down to us. We are glad we finally visited. Got to enjoy our Christmas 1,000x better with our awesome (real) ham from Palumbo's Meat Market. Thank you!! #supportlocal #eatlocal KEEP ON ROCKIN'!!

I've been looking forward to shopping here for a while. Beef shanks, keibasa and bacon were on the list. Very nice meat selection. Small Italian market and produce stand on site. Prices very competitive with local markets and much cheaper than in my VA home. A little out of the way but worth it.
